Our Location
Bo-peep Farmhouse is in a stunning setting a mile back from the main A27 on a dead-end lane, in a quiet secluded hamlet right beneath the South Downs Way in a pleasant and productive garden.
Our village is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty inside the South Downs National Park, surrounded by pleasant lanes and footpaths. Glyndebourne, Michelham Priory, historic Lewes, Firle Place, Charleston Farmhouse (the home of the famous Bloomsbury set) and what is recognised as the best small zoo in England, Drusilla’s, are all literally minutes away.
During the day, wild animals and birds can easily be seen as you walk the many quiet paths around Bo-peep. Whilst on balmy summer evenings, if blessed with clear skies, low light pollution makes for some stunning starry nights. Spotting the shooting stars, when you stroll back after a meal at a local pub, can be a joy.
Local Attractions
This area of East Sussex has so much to see, and so much to do. To help you decide that this is the area you need to stay in, we have put together a short list of just some of the attractions that you really must see. There are the obvious places you can go to like Brighton and Eastbourne, the National Trust properties of Bateman and Monks House, and the English Heritage buildings at Pevensey and Battle.
But if you care to look, tucked away are some gems that are worth seeking out.
These pages are just a flavour of what is out there. To help you, we start on our own doorstep with places that are easily walk-able, to places a bit further out that you can cycle or drive to. This list though is just the tip of the iceberg.
Come and enjoy where we live, you will be pleased you did!
